It clearly states that provided that where a salary scale is specified, the holder of the office shall be paid such salary, within the scale, as the president may determine having regard to the seniority of the various office holders, based on the number of years served in a particular office; and the differences in skills, workload and accountabilities attached to each office.

A commissioner of assize, shall, when engaged in the exercise of any jurisdiction exercisable by him in pursuance of this Act, be deemed to constitute a court of the high court, and he shall, during his period of office, have all the power, authority and jurisdiction of a judge of the high court and take rank and precedence immediately after the judges of the high court.
