Regulation 7 emphasizes that any person who knowingly introduces any pest or disease into any cultivated land shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months.

The object and purpose for which the corporation is established is to provide a deposit insurance scheme for customers of member institutions and to receive, liquidate and wind-up any institution in respect of which the corporation is appointed receiver or liquidator in accordance with this Act.
