The mission is to strengthen and focus nationwide actions towards climate change adaptation and GHG emission mitigation. This will be achieved by ensuring commitment and engagement of all stakeholders while taking into account the vulnerable nature of Kenya�s natural resources and society. The objectives are to: enhance understanding of the global climate change regime: the negotiation process, international agreements, policies and processes and most importantly the positions Kenya needs to take in order to maximize beneficial effects of climate change; assess the evidence and impacts of climate change in Kenya, and recommend robust adaptation and mitigation measures needed to minimize risks associated with climate change while maximizing opportunities.
