This is a parliamentary Act that provides for the establishment of an appropriate legal and institutional framework for the management of the environment and for the matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. Every person in Kenya is entitled to a clean and healthy environment and had the duty to safeguard and enhance the environment. The entitlement to a clean and healthy environment under subsection one includes the access by any person in Kenya to the various public elements or segments of the environment for recreational, educational, health, spiritual and cultural purposes.

This is a parliamentary Act that provides for the establishment and administration of Bukura agricultural college, and for connected purposes. It establishes the college and defines its functions. Some of the functions is provided directly or in collaboration with other institutions of higher learning, facilities for education in agriculture and other ancillary subjects through the integration of teaching, research and effective application of extension services, to participate in the discovery, transmission and preservation of knowledge in agriculture and any other related field, to conduct examinations for and grant diplomas and such academic awards as may be provided in the statutes; and subject to this Act, to co-operate with the government in the planned development of agricultural education.
