Botswana Intended Nationally Determined Contribution

Botswana seeks to achieve a reduction in greenhouse gas (GHGs) emissions by 15% before 2030. the reduction will be achieved through strategies and measures. The strategy involves the development of a long term low carbon strategy, a national adaptation, plan, nationally appropriate mitigation actions, identification of technologies, plan for knowledge management capacity development, education and public awareness and a financial mechanism. The proposed emission reduction path will be subjected to legislative review and endorsement by Parliament.
