EXPLANATORY NOTE OF THE DRAFT LAW GOVERNING NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS

This draft law was presented to the parliament on 18 April 2024. The draft law is intended to repeal existing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) laws and provide a single regulatory framework for the establishment, organization, and operation of NGOs in Rwanda. This aims to address emerging challenges that existing laws cannot adequately address.
