National Decentralisation Policy

The strategic goal of this policy is to reduce poverty, promote equitable local development and to improve citizen participation in governance via the transferring functions, responsibilities and resources for public service delivery to local authorities. The strategic action codified in the policy include the mode of decentralized governance, local government autonomy, and participatory development planning.
