Promulgation of Atomic Energy and Radiation Protection Act, 2005 (

This is an Act specifying the provisions for adequate protection of the environment and of people in current and future generations against the harmful effects of radiation by controlling and regulating the production, processing, handling, use, holding, storage, transport, and disposal of radiation sources and radioactive materials, and controlling and regulating prescribed non-ionizing radiation sources; to establish an Atomic Energy Board and to provide for its composition and functions; to establish a National Radiation Protection Authority; and other ancillary matters.
