Health Care Waste Management in Ghana

The policy guidelines provide standards, procedures and processes for handling health care waste in the sector institutions. It also provides mechanisms for performance monitoring. The policy and guidelines target ensuring strict compliance to existing and future laws and regulations. Maximally reducing the level of exposure of personnel and general public to hazardous healthcare waste is also prominently addressed.
