Civil Aviation (Search and Rescue) Regulations, 2012

These regulations by the Ministry of Transport and Communication on search and rescue cover the establishment of the National Search and Rescue Coordination Committee specifying the functions; the establishment of Rescue Coordination Centres and Rescue Sub-Centres and its functions; requisitioning of aircraft and vessels; search and rescue communications; filing of disaster management and aerodrome emergency plans; reporting of aircraft or vessel in distress; training of search and rescue personnel; and penalties for breach of regulations.
