Water Act

The Act defines the ownership of rights to the use of water. It specifies the use of public water and construction of works, casual water use, water use by owners and occupiers of land, right to water for mining and forestry purposes, and prohibition of the use of water. It also makes provisions for the grant of water rights, as well as revision, variation, determination, and diminution of water rights.
