Urban Planning Proclamation

The proclamation to provide for urban planning applies to all urban centres throughout the country. It acknowledges the non-comprehensive state of the current legislation on urban planning. "It provides for authorization of development, reallocation of land for public purposes, the right to obtain information regarding the status of the land, and the reservation of land for public purposes". It establishes a legal framework that sees to the promotion of planned and well developed urban centres.
