Ethiopian Organic Agriculture System Proclamation

Proclamation number 488 of 2006 focuses on establishing the Ethiopian organic agriculture system. This proclamation is a response to the increasing yearning for organic agricultural products globally. The government recognizes the opportunity therein concerning the creation of a new market and higher prices of organic produces. The Ethiopian organic agriculture system strives to adopt internationally accepted production, processing and distribution systems in the country.
